New Year's Resolutions Don't Work. Try this instead.

Did you know that only about 9% of Americans actually stick to their New Year’s Resolutions? Crazy right? I mean that's almost nothing! Ask yourself how many times have you stuck to your resolutions. Or even worse, you don't even try anymore because you know you will fail.

Well, I failed at resolutions for years so I know how hard and stressful it can be. So instead of New Year resolutions, instead I start one small tiny habit that I know will improve the quality of my life. When we replace your resolution with a daily habit it will have more impact on your goals than anything else.

Last year, my resolution was to read 30 minutes per day and I totally loved the experience. Instead of having a goal of reading 50 books per year, I switched it into a daily habit of reading so now I am on track to doubling my previous year's goal.

So easy and so simple!

So now ask yourself, how can I convert my personal goal into a daily habit?

Ideally, that habit only takes 10-15 minutes and is easy for you to work into your daily routines.

For example, if your goal is to lose weight, then maybe your daily habit can be to drink water every morning or journal your food at the end of the day.

Or maybe you want to reduce your stress, so perhaps start journaling or meditating every morning for 5 minutes.

The solution to actually achieving your goals is much simpler then we humans like to make it.
